Hello girls, I hope you are all keeping well and enjoying the small bit of extra freedom we have. Remember though, Covid 19 has not gone away and we need to be very careful with our hand washing and our social distancing. We don't want to undo all our hard work over the last two months. Imagine it is the last week of May this week. We are on the last stretch now so let's give a final push and keep up the hard work. It was great seeing some of you last week collecting your bag of books. To the girls I didn't get to see,I was thinking of ye. It was very strange going back into the classroom last Monday, not seeing you all and the date on the board still on the 12th of March. I packed up most of your belongings- there were a few things like books, rulers etc that I wasn't sure of who they belonged to so I have kept them safe and I will return in September. I held onto your Art-shirts too and I'll return in September. Please make sure you put your dictionaries somewhere safe as you will need them in September and if you lose them, you will have to buy new ones. I was talking to Danielle last week in school and she helped me bring out the bags of books to the front of the school. Thank you Danielle! I went out to my garden this week and was delighted to see that we have at least one potato grown AND the strawberry plant we planted is doing well inside too. Hopefully we will have some more produce soon. I have a picture of the potato up on the class news section. Lastly I would like to thank your parents for all their hard work and support since the 12th March. I know it has not been easy and it is a strange time for all but I really do appreciate all the time you are spending helping the girls with their work and for sending the emails/ pictures. All the hard work will be worth it and the girls will benefit from all the effort. Girls, I think you should give your parents a big hug/kiss and thank them for all their help and support. I'm still judging the art and STEM that were sent to me so I'll announce the winners later today on class news section. I will give out a homework pass to the best STEM this week too so be creative. Send your entries in by Saturday 30th at 3pm. Keep the photos and emails coming. Have a safe week, Ms. Colgan
